Merge images into one picture
Pair a before and after, stitch screenshots into one tall strip or lay out a product grid. Drag the pictures into order, and the preview redraws with every change you make.
Add 2 to 50 images: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and more.
or drop files here
Fit keeps every picture whole. Fill covers each cell and trims the edges.
JPG has no transparency, so the background becomes white.
Photo details such as EXIF data and GPS location are not copied into the merged image.
Add at least 2 images to merge.
Your files are processed on your own device and never uploaded.
How to use it
- Drop 2 to 50 pictures on the page or press ‘Choose files’.
- Under ‘Layout’, pick ‘Side by side’ for a row, ‘Stacked’ for a column or ‘Grid’ for a collage. For a grid, choose 2 to 6 ‘Columns’ and decide what happens ‘In each cell’.
- Drag rows by their grip, or use ‘Move up’ and ‘Move down’, until the order is right. A row reads left to right, a column top to bottom and a grid line by line.
- Set ‘Gap (px)’, ‘Outer padding (px)’ and ‘Rounded corners (px)’, then choose a ‘Background’.
- Pick a format under ‘Save as’, press ‘Merge images’ and take the file with ‘Download’.
What it does
Row, column or grid
In a row, every picture is brought to the height of the shortest one; in a column, they all take the width of the narrowest. Neither layout enlarges anything, so one small picture sets the size of the whole set. A grid has 2 to 6 columns.
Grid cells: fill or fit
The cell shape follows your typical picture, so a set of mostly landscape shots gives landscape cells. ‘Fill and crop’ is the starting choice: it covers each cell and trims the overflow from the center. ‘Fit whole image’ keeps every pixel and lets the background show around odd-shaped pictures.
Gaps, padding and rounded corners
Gaps run from 0 to 100 px, while outer padding and the corner radius go up to 200 px. Corners are rounded picture by picture, so a collage looks like a pile of separate cards. All three are measured in pixels of the finished image.
A background of your choice
There are swatches for cream, light gray, black and white, a color picker for anything else, and ‘Transparent’ for a result that will sit on a page with its own background. Transparency survives in PNG and WebP, while a JPG falls back to white.
Reorder or remove in the list
Each row has a grip to drag, ‘Move up’ and ‘Move down’ buttons for small nudges, and ‘Remove’. The arrow keys work on the grip too. ‘Add more’ puts extra pictures at the end, up to the 50-picture limit.
Live preview with the final size
The preview is drawn from reduced copies, so it keeps up while you drag a slider. Under it, a line gives the size of the finished image in pixels and adds ‘scaled down to fit’ when the set is too big for the browser. The ‘Download’ button shows the file size.
Good to know
A row suits a before and after or two angles of one product. A column is the quickest way to join the screenshots of a long chat or a bug report: when they share a width, they join without any scaling at all. A grid is for listing photos, contact sheets and collages, and ‘Fill and crop’ keeps the cells even when the pictures differ in shape.
Twelve 4000 × 3000 photos in a row would come to about 48,000 px across, but a browser canvas tops out at 16.7 megapixels in total and 16,383 px along either edge. Past that, the pictures shrink together; the gap, padding and corner radius stay at the pixel values you set, and the line under the preview warns you.
To get a lighter file, choose JPG or WebP and drag ‘Quality’ down (it starts at 90). PNG is lossless and has no quality slider, which suits screenshots and transparency. The saved file is called merged-image.jpg, .png or .webp, depending on the format, and carries no EXIF or GPS data. Everything is drawn in your browser, and nothing is uploaded.
Questions and answers
How do I put two photos next to each other?
Add both and press ‘Merge images’; ‘Side by side’ is the starting layout. The two are brought to the same height, so the edges line up even when the originals have different sizes.
How do I turn a set of photos into a collage?
Choose ‘Grid’ and pick the number of ‘Columns’. Add a few pixels of gap, round the corners a little and choose a background that suits the photos. If the shapes vary, leave ‘In each cell’ on ‘Fill and crop’.
How do I join screenshots into one long image?
Choose ‘Stacked’ and put the screenshots in reading order in the list. Set ‘Gap (px)’ to 0 so they meet with no visible join, and leave padding at 0 if you want clean edges.
Can I save the merged picture with a transparent background?
Yes. Under ‘Background’ pick ‘Transparent’, then save as PNG or WebP; a checkerboard in the preview marks the clear areas. JPG cannot store transparency, so it turns the background white.
Why is the result smaller than my originals?
Most often the shortest picture in a row, or the narrowest in a column, sets the size, because nothing is enlarged. If the set also hits the browser limit, the line under the preview says ‘scaled down to fit’.
Does it take HEIC photos, and how many at once?
HEIC photos from a phone work like any other file; the first one makes the page load a small decoder (about 3 MB, once). A set can hold up to 50 pictures. If you add more, only the first 50 are kept and a message says so.
