The short version

A picture you open on imgglide stays inside your own browser. No profile of you exists, because nothing asks you to sign up. A cookie-free counter from Cloudflare measures visits, and the pages carry no advertising today.

How a picture is handled

A tool opens the file straight from your phone or computer, reworks the pixels in memory and builds the result there for you to save. The picture does not travel anywhere, so the developer has nothing to receive, inspect or store.

The profile picture and ID photo makers can also use your camera. Your browser asks for permission first, and a shot taken that way is treated like any file you choose.

What your browser holds on to

Choose a picture on the home page or in any tool and your browser parks it in IndexedDB, a storage area it keeps for this site, so the next tool can open it without asking again. It is discarded after two hours at the latest, or the moment you press the × button, and the area is capped at 600 MB.

Local storage remembers whether you picked the light or dark theme, which language you use and the settings of some tools.

AI tools and text recognition download their model and language files the first time they run, and your browser caches them for later visits.

The developer receives none of this. Clearing the site data in your browser settings erases the lot.

Counting visits and hosting

Cloudflare Web Analytics tallies visits and page views. It sets no cookies, writes nothing to your device and cannot identify a visitor.

Cloudflare also serves the site, and to deliver pages and fend off attacks it handles connection details such as your IP address.

Advertising

There is no advertising on imgglide right now. If that changes, this policy is rewritten before the first ad goes live.

Children

imgglide is not designed for children under 13.
