imgglide

Convert, shrink and cut out images without uploading them

Turn a pile of HEIC photos into JPG, shrink a heavy screenshot, lift a person off a busy background or stamp a watermark on a whole batch. It all runs on your own phone or computer, so there is nothing to install and nothing to upload.

Start with the picture

Drop one or more images and a short list of tools that fit them appears. The files stay on this device and open in whichever tool you choose.

Drop your pictures here

JPG · PNG · WebP · HEIC · AVIF · GIF · BMP · SVG. Nothing leaves this device.

Convert

Switch formats, open HEIC and AVIF, or move between pictures and PDF files.

Size and shape

Make files lighter, set exact dimensions, crop to a ratio or turn a picture upright.

AI tools

Cut-outs, 2× and 4× enlargements, face blurring and text reading, all on your device.

Edit and create

Touch up one photo or a whole batch, add watermarks and captions, join pictures, make GIFs.

Portraits

Profile pictures with new backgrounds, and passport or ID photos cut to official sizes.

Inspect

Read the colors in a picture and see what its file reveals, such as camera and location.

From picture to download in three steps

  1. Add your pictures

Drop them onto the page or choose them from your phone or computer. Most tools take many at once, so a whole shoot or a pile of screenshots goes in together.

  2. Set what you want

Pick a format, a size, a shape or an effect. Tools with a preview show the change before you save, and the converter and compressor list the new size of every file.

  3. Download the result

Save one file, or take a batch as a ZIP. Your originals are never touched, because the tools make new files instead.

Your pictures stay on your device

Each tool is a small program that your browser loads together with the page. It reads your pictures from your own storage, does the work right there and hands you the result. No picture is sent to a server, so none ever reaches the person who runs the site.

Pictures you choose on this page are held in your browser’s own storage (IndexedDB) for up to 2 hours, so the next tool can open them without asking again. The store holds at most 600 MB, and the × button clears it at once.

The tools are grouped by the job in front of you. Convert changes formats, from HEIC, WebP and AVIF to JPG, PNG or WebP, and moves pictures into and out of PDF files. Size and shape compresses, resizes, crops and rotates. The AI tools cut out backgrounds, enlarge small pictures, blur faces and read the text in a picture. Edit and create holds a photo editor, a batch editor, watermarks, collages, memes and GIFs. Portraits makes profile pictures and passport photos, and Inspect reads colors and the hidden details in a photo file.

The AI tools run open-source models on your device. A model is downloaded from this site the first time you use it, and your browser keeps it for the next visit. They need WebAssembly SIMD, which current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari have; on iPhone and iPad that means iOS 16.4 or later. The other tools need no model at all.

There is no account, no watermark and no daily limit, and the site shows no ads at the moment. Your device’s memory is the practical limit, so very large files go more smoothly on a computer than on a phone. The site comes in English, Korean, Japanese, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese, and one independent developer runs it as a personal project.

Questions and answers

Are my pictures uploaded when I use these tools?

No. Each tool runs in your browser, so your pictures are read and changed on your own phone or computer. Program files, and model files for the AI tools, travel to you; your pictures never travel back.

Do I need an account, and does anything cost money?

No account and no payment. Your results carry no watermark, and there is no daily limit on how much you convert or edit.

Which picture formats can I open?

JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC open in nearly every picture tool, and most also take AVIF, GIF and BMP. Each tool’s drop area lists exactly what it accepts; Compress image is the narrowest, with JPG, PNG and WebP only.

Why does an AI tool take longer the first time?

It has to download its model files once. After that your browser keeps them and the tool starts straight away. If an AI tool will not start at all, update your browser; on iPhone and iPad the AI tools need iOS 16.4 or later.

Is there a limit on picture size?

There is no fixed cap, but your device’s memory sets one in practice, and a computer copes better than a phone. When a result would be larger than a browser canvas can hold on every device, about 16.7 megapixels, some tools scale it down and tell you so.

Does imgglide work on a phone?

Yes. Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari work on both phones and computers. For big batches or very large photos, a computer has more memory to spare.
