PNG to JPG converter
A screenshot for a bug report, a scan of a drawing, a design export: saved as PNG, they get heavy fast. Convert them to JPG and they slip under email and upload limits.
Add images: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF, BMP or SVG.

How to use it
- Choose your PNG files, or drop them onto the page.
- Check that JPG is selected under ‘Convert to’, pick a ‘Quality’ and click ‘Convert’. Stay near 90 for screenshots with text.
- Download each JPG, or take them all at once with ‘Download all (ZIP)’.
Good to know
PNG stores every pixel exactly, which suits flat graphics and wastes space on anything photographic. A full-screen screenshot of a busy web page, or a scanned photo, can easily weigh several megabytes as a PNG. JPG drops detail the eye hardly misses, so the same picture often shrinks a lot, enough to clear an email attachment limit or a form’s upload cap.
Two things to watch. JPG has no transparency, so see-through areas are filled with white; for a logo that must stay transparent, PNG to WebP shrinks it and keeps the transparency. And a low ‘Quality’ blurs thin lines and small text, so keep it high for screenshots. Avoid saving the same picture as JPG again and again, because every JPG save costs a little more detail.
Questions and answers
How much smaller will the JPG be?
Photos and photo-heavy screenshots shrink the most. Flat graphics with few colors already compress well as PNG, so their JPG may come out about the same size or even larger. The file list shows each new size beside the old one.
What happens to transparent areas in my PNG?
They are painted white, because JPG cannot store transparency. Keep the PNG, or use PNG to WebP, when the see-through background matters.
Which ‘Quality’ suits a screenshot with small text?
Stay at the default of 90 or go higher. Lower values smudge thin strokes and small letters first.
